After RAW: UK votes “YES” for Valmengaux!

Several UK bloggers talked or wrote about Valmengaux after RAW London last March. They said Valmengaux is the new Bordeaux generation!

Last but not least, 2 really nice London citizens came to visit Valmengaux. They were (and still are) on a motorcycle wine trip though France, Italy and Croatia (“the Grape Escape”!). A sourcing trip indeed as they plan to open a nature wine bar in East London and import those wines in UK. A nice adventure for them too and a great encounter they recounted here and there. London calling! RAW WINE FAIR (11 & 12 March)

Coming after La Rochelle, and before Vinexpo Hong Kong (end May), RAW WINE London.

What’s RAW WINE? More than just a wine fair (several indeed: London, Los Angeles, New York, Berlin), it’s a plateform that promotes “clean” wines: natural, organic and biodynamic wines. In other words, authentic wines from low-intervention growers – just what’s necessary to express the terroir. This RAW WINE co-founder video explains that clearly.

So, RAW WINE London 2018, it’s 150 growers from all around the world and, guess what, Valmengaux is one of them. RAW WINE London welcomes the wine and food trade, the press and the general public. The fair is held at The Store Studios, 180 The Strand (London). Come to see us and taste tons of good and sometimes surprising wines.

NB: fair opened to general public only on Sunday. No direct sale

“Vins actuels et naturels”, whatsdat? Handcrafted non-conventional wines by the way they are made (organic, few/no additive during  winemaking and ageing) then by their character (usually expressive and “living” wines). Simply said, wines with personality… like Valmengaux!

We’ll be there then! You will have the opportunity to taste (and buy) our wines. Meet you on Feb Sat 10th and Sun 11th, from 10am to 7pm, Hangar 14, Quai des Chartrons in Bordeaux!

2017 is over for a few weeks yet: first year of the new Domaine de Valmengaux, first year for many things for us.  A year of doubt, pressure, fatigue but also fun, support and great hope for the future!

We wish a super 2018 year to all of you who have been following us and drink Valmengaux – to us too for sure!

Wine fair and tasting in Paris and Bordeaux, in December

Harvest done: vine is recovering and soil is regenerating for next year. What about the winemaker? H’s doing the rounds of wine fairs and tasting to sell his wines!

We’ll have the opportunity to meet during the following year-end events:

  • Dec 1st to 3rd, at Carreau du Temple, Paris 3è, during Salon Vinibio. Dozens of organic wineries from all France regions but also good organic food. Everything for good end of year’s eves to come! Free entrance request here. Free wine orders delivery shipping inside Paris
  • Dec 10th, from 10am to 2 pm, Place de la Bourse inside “la Bulle des Bordeaux” during Bordeaux Tasting 2017. You’ll taste and buy prestigious Bordeaux “crus” (but also some more humble and affordable Bordeaux, like Valmengaux!). I have a few free entrances for those who are interested in.
